Phantom Blade Zero

Phantom Blade Zero Boss Guide - All Bosses

Every boss in the Phantom Blade Zero game with locations, mechanics and step-by-step strategies — from the Prologue's teaching duel to the lake-country exams.

The Universal Boss Loop

Every Phantom Blade Zero boss — from the Prologue's Zuo Shang to the lake country's Searing Blade — runs on the same three-answer loop. Blue-flash attacks are parried (costs you nothing, drains their Sha-Chi). Red-flash attacks are dodged (blocking them is impossible; guarding everything else just drains you). And the Sha-Chi economy decides the middle of the fight: switch weapons to reset your own gauge before it starves, spend Sha-Chi combos only when their gauge is near breaking, and convert every Guard-Broken state into an execution — the finisher animation grants full invincibility.

Bosses keep their Sha-Chi damage between your attempts in one specific way: die in phase two and you retry in phase two. Losing is cheap in this game — no currency is dropped on death.

The Five Habits That Beat Every Boss

The boss pages below repeat five habits because every boss grades them. One: parry blue, dodge red — never block either. Two: switch weapons to reset Sha-Chi, not for damage. Three: parries are free, guards are rented. Four: executions on every Guard-Broken window. Five: collect the region's Memory Flowers before the attempt — permanent max HP is the only preparation the game lets you keep forever.

What This Roster Covers

This guide covers the nineteen bosses above in depth — every story boss across the seven documented areas plus the optional walls that gate unique rewards. The full Wulin holds more minor duels than any one page needs to enumerate; the region pages carry each area's complete fight list, and the collectibles checklist rolls the optional bosses into the 100% path.

Boss roster and titles follow the community wiki's region-by-region boss distribution (snapshot 2026-10-29); known weapon drops are sourced from the same pages. Difficulty ratings are this site's editorial calls based on boss role and community reports, not official labels. The full game holds more minor duels than listed here — region pages carry each area's complete fight list.
