Reading an Enemy Page: Trait First, Counter Second
Every family in the Wulin fights by a rule, and the rule — not the health bar — is what the bestiary records. Combat traits decide what works: Bleed and status riders melt flesh enemies and simply do not exist for constructs, guard-heavy officers punish raw aggression, and wraith strings punish standing still. The counter approach is the honest answer to each trait: the parry grammar is universal, but which weapon you pair, which abilities you buy and when you switch are all family-specific. Read the trait column first; the counter column is how you act on it.
Where Each Family Lives
Enemy families map to the seven areas: Order hunters duel you from the Prologue onward, Copper-Skinned Monks hold the valley's Sha-Qi Tower, Thieves' Camp gangs run the Crimson Forest, puppets hold the Village of Lu, and Pangzhen concentrates the endgame mix — Shadow Wardens, wraiths and the Blackwater Crew. The table above filters by area and trait; each family page carries locations, mechanics and farming value.
