Boss Mechanics

Fanatic Swordplay

Qianxiao is the valley's Hua exam turned up a notch: longer sword strings, flash sequences inside chains, and the first boss whose guard stance visibly recovers Sha-Chi mid-fight. Breaking his guard requires sustained Sha-Chi pressure, which means managing your own gauge across the whole fight, not per-exchange.

The Fanatic's Gamble

His signature is committed, flashy sequences that leave real recovery windows — the fanaticism is literal. Players who punish greed with a parry-into-Sha-Chi-combo loop will find him fair; players who block-and-retreat will find their gauge gone.

Step-by-Step Strategy

Step-by-Step

Match aggression with structure: parry his blue flashes (each one drains his Sha-Chi for free), answer red flashes with directional dodges, and switch weapons to reset your gauge whenever it dips below half. His post-sequence recoveries are the moment for heavy Sha-Chi combos — and once Guard-Broken, he takes execution damage like anyone else.

The Fanatic's Broken Blade, the weapon associated with his fall, pairs with the Drunken Dream achievement (the [Drunk] state) — worth knowing before you sell your duplicates.
