How to Reach It

Optional Rift boss in Weeping Creek Valley. The community Game Progress Route explicitly advises tackling it later — it is the valley's toughest content.

When You Fight It: Found in a Rift in the valley; optional from the moment it is visible.

Boss Mechanics

Construct Rules at Boss Scale

The Three-Faced Puppet is a construct: it does not bleed, so Bleed-stacked weapons lose their status pressure entirely. Its three faces telegraph three attack grammars — reading which face is "speaking" is the fight's actual mechanic, and every grammar resolves to the same two answers: parry blue, dodge red.

The Rift Format

Rift bosses are the game's challenge-room format: a dedicated arena, a harder-than-story moveset, and a reward worth the trip. The Progress Route's advice (leave, return stronger) is mechanical fact — nothing in the valley requires this kill.

Step-by-Step Strategy

Step-by-Step

Do it after the valley's story bosses at minimum, ideally after the Crimson Forest hands you a second upgraded weapon. In the fight: stop using Bleed weapons, switch-reset Sha-Chi aggressively, and spend your heaviest Guard Break strings on the face-transition windows — the puppet's face changes are its longest recoveries.

If your build is one Bleed weapon plus one anything, this fight will tell you. Construct immunity is the game asking for a diverse second slot.
